Water Therapy
Our Wellness Center features a salt water lap pool set at a cozy 92 degrees. Post operative dogs can come rest their sore muscles and when appropriate, work on muscle toning. Light massage and range of motion exercises ease tired hips, knees and elbows.
Swimming is the perfect activity for all dogs young or old. It provides a non weight bearing activity that avoids all the stresses and strains of exercising on hard ground.
Any dog that is suffering from the conditions listed below will benefit from a controlled swimming activity. It will help to strengthen muscles without risking further injury.
For post-operative dogs water therapy removes the weight loading on the injured limb and will enable the gradual rebuilding of wasted muscle. It reduces the pain and can accelerate recovery after surgery.
Even ageing dogs can benefit from controlled swimming as the soothing effect of the warm water improves circulation and encourages increased mobility in sore, stiff, and arthritic joints.
Water Therapy is proven to be beneficial for numerous conditions:
- Hip and elbow dysplasia
- Spinal injuries and paralysis
- Cruciate ligament problems
- Post operative muscle regeneration and maintenance

Directions
We are located approximately 1/2 mile north of the 101 freeway. Take the Reseda Blvd. exit and travel north (make a right if you are coming from Los Angeles). Travel approximately 1/2 mile to Topham Street (just past Oxnard St. and the Metro Orange Bus Line), turn left.
Our building is on the right hand side of the street. You may park on the street; in the back, behind K9s Only; or across the street in the Orange Line bus parking lot.
